About Enrollment:

• Sabillasville Environmental School is open to all students who reside in Frederick County.

• In the 2024-254 School year, SES will offer grades K-8. 

• There is no cost to attend. SES is free to all Frederick County Residents.

• Each grade will have one class of 23 students.

• SES will offer a unique classical curriculum. Be sure to view the website to ensure this is the right fit for your family.

• Current services provided by Frederick County Pubic Schools, like IEPs, will be available to your child.

• Students who reside outside of Frederick County are not eligible to enter the lottery.

• SES does not provide transportation. Families are responsible for getting students to and from school.  Clubhouse Kids runs a before and after care program at the school for those needing childcare outside school hours.

How to Enroll:

Admission to SES is determined by a lottery held in March of each year for any open seats available. A wait list is managed year-round and if seats become available throughout the year they will be offered to those who the waitlist.  Once you accept a seat you will be guaranteed a seat for your child through 8th grade, unless you withdraw enrollment.

SES Founding Family members, children of SES staff, and siblings of children currently enrolled at SES, and students who reside in the Sabillasville district have priority for placement in available spots, but must still submit an application for the lottery. 

Note: If you are not sure if you reside in the Sabillasville district, please call the school prior to selecting that preference in the lottery. Anyone who selects this option and is not in the Sabillasville district will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.

If you have siblings in the lottery and one child is selected and you accept their seat the other siblings will be given priority, but are not guaranteed enrollment.

Confirmation of Registration in Lottery:

Upon registering your child(ren) in the lottery you will receive a confirmation email. You may also visit the lottery site at anytime to check the status.

Lottery:

The lottery drawing will take place on March 22.  On March 22 you will receive notification by email if your child(ren) were selected in the lottery for any open seats available

​

If your child(ren) are placed on the waitlist, you will receive notification indicating their ranking.
